2010 Staff Positions

Assistant Counselor Job Overview Assistant Counselors spend part of their day supporting the camp program; around 6-7 hours each day in food service including food preparation, serving, and cleanup; and part of their day participating in camp activities with the campers in their cabin. AC's sleep in cabins as a third staff member. Eligibility Requirements: You must have either: 1) have successfully completed the CIT and JC programs at Sandy Hill and have completed 11th grade - OR - 2) have graduated from high school. You must be physically and mentally capable of being a care-giver for and supervising 8-16 year old children in an active, residential camp environment and of working on food service.
