YEAR-ROUND FULL-TIME POSITION
Technology, Media, and Guest Relations Specialist
Like many positions at camp, this is a "Jack of Many Trades" type of role with responsibilities that vary by time of year.
In broad strokes, this role has everything to do with leveraging technology and communication to create an amazing experience for our campers, parents, retreat guests, and staff.
Here are the major responsibilities by season:
Off-Season (can telework some days) - October thru April
Web and User Experience (UX) Designer
Programmer - HTML5, CSS3, PHP/ASP/Java, MS-SQL
Media Creator for website and social media
Camp & Retreat Season - April thru October
Camp Administrator - camper assignments, registration preparation, mass emails
Summer Media Staff Manager- camp photographers and videographers (3-5 staff)
Summer Office Staff Manager (2-4 staff)
Setup/maintain computer and media hardware for camp
Year-Round/Ongoing
Guest Relations and Technical Support Specialist thru phone and email
Social Media Manager
Some purchasing and office management tasks
Network Administrator
The ideal candidate would:
- love camp
- be personally aligned with our mission, values, and
staff standards
- be extremely detail-oriented
- have experience and/or training in web design, photography, videography, video editing, programming and databases
- have some management experience
- be a great communicator both verbally and in writing
To be a great fit, a candidate would also benefit from the seasonal nature of camp, which is more intense from May to August (40-60 hrs/week including some weekends) in exchange for a scaled back off-season (25-40 hrs/week) with more time to enjoy personal pursuits.
